A while ago, I found out that formulating my thoughts and writing them down helps me a lot in articulating them in later arguments. So I made it a habit to take some notes whenever a particular thought strikes me. This blog essentially is taking this habit a step further, opening up my thinking to the global supply chain community.

As my texts often are created as a result of a contemplation rather then extensive research, I think it is necessary to state what my intention with this blog is:

My goal is not to present finished “marketable” thought leadership, but rather to present arguments I am having with myself to a wider audience to discuss and learn

Target of this BLOG

The trigger for setting up this blog was a recent experience I had. I was driving home from a client meeting around the super buzzword of “supply chain digitization” (which was pretty frustrating). Afterwards, I was wondering why supply chain organizations of my clients often failed to understand and unlock the potential of a lot of the exciting technologies that are out there today. When I got home, I out my personal “frustration led” analysis on paper. Since the topic is really on everyone’s mind now, I spent some more time to develop the story and shared it with a couple of colleagues and friends who also work in supply chain.

What followed were some really interesting discussions which made me think, that maybe my thoughts could also be interesting for a wider audience as well. Thus, the idea of this blog was born.

I honestly do not know where this will go, or how often I will update. I will take it “text by text” to see how it resonates with you / the audience to see if I keep up posting or not.

For now, I hope you enjoy reading. Feel free to leave a comment and to discuss!
